Styria

Styria is a vampire-themed thriller written by Karl Bardosh and directed by Mauricio Chernovetzky + Mark Devendorf. Lara (Eleanor Tomlinson) and her estranged father, Dr. Hill (Stephen Rea), travel behind the iron curtain to a decrepit castle outside the Hungarian town of Styria. In the nearby woods, Lara witnesses a car crash. 

Carmilla, (Julia Pietrucha), escapes from the wreckage as a driver attempts to run her over. When Lara hides this beautiful and mysterious stranger in the castle, the two start an intense and chaotic friendship. As their relationship deepens, the young women of Styria begin to go mad. When local girls are found dead from apparent suicides, Lara wonders if Carmilla is to blame or is there a darker secret behind the mass hysteria destroying the town. Carmilla is portrayed by Julia Pietrucha.

Girltrash: All Night Long

Set during one long night in the LGBT sub-culture of Los Angeles, Daisy and Tyler are two rock and roll musicians who are selected to partake in a battle of the bands contest to claim a prize. But while on their way to the concert, their van breaks down and they are sidetracked by Daisy’s younger sister, Colby, a recent college graduate who agrees to drive them to the concert if they help her hook up with her girl-crush; a struggling actress named Misty. 

Also tagging along is Misty’s bisexual best friend Sid, who longs to hook up with a famous celebrity. However, Misty is not interested in hooking up with Colby because she has her sights on Tyler. Meanwhile, Daisy tries to win back her ex-girlfriend, Xan, who is on a date with her latest girlfriend who is competing against Daisy and Tyler’s band that very night. Elsewhere, Monique Jones is a violent ex-con recently paroled from prison who comes looking for Daisy and Tyler with a score to settle. Colby Robson, Tyler Murphy, Misty Monroe and Daisy Robson are portrayed by Gabrielle Christian, Michelle Lombardo, Mandy Musgrave and Lisa Rieffel.

Anatomy of a Love Seen

Exploring love, in all it’s painful and messy glory. Six months ago actresses Zoe and Mal fell for each other at exactly the same moment in time while filming a love scene. After five blissful months together Zoe was decimated when Mal walked away. Three miserable weeks later a very lucrative network broadcast deal was in the works. They only had one request, re-shoot the love scene. Welcome to the set. The work was written and directed by Marina Rice Bader.

Respire

Respire, also know as “Breath”, is a French psychological thriller created by Mélanie Laurent. It tales the story of two teenage girls who develop an intense and dangerous friendship. Charlie is a 17-year-old girl tortured by doubt, disillusionment and solitude. When the beautiful and self-confident Sarah arrives and the two become inseparable, Charlie is thrilled to feel alive, fulfilled and invincible in their intense friendship. But as Sarah tires of Charlie and begins to look elsewhere for a new friend, their friendship takes an ominous turn. The film is inspired by the eponym book written by Anne-Sophie Brasme.

1448 Love Among Us

Everything is falling apart between Pim and her boyfriend Nam. So when he decides to go abroad to study, she makes sure to cut all ties with him and assert her independence. Meanwhile, Pim met Pat, a cute girl who caught her eyes and with whom she quickly became inseparable. 

As their relationship slowly evolved from a beautiful friendship to an intense love story, they begins to contemplate a symbolic union against the will of their parents. 1448 Love Among Us is a light drama created to challenge the law concerning gay people in Thailand by depicting a genuine love story between two women constantly oppressed by their social environment. Pim and Pat are portrayed by Apinya Sakuljaroensuk and Isabella Lete.

Fear of Water

Fear of Water is a romantic drama written by Edward Davenport and directed by Kate Lane. The story is about two teenage girls who come from different socio-economic backgrounds. Following a tragic event, their paths collide, they start to exploring a deep friendship and a sexual awakening that changes them forever. Alexia and Eleanor are portrayed by Lily Loveless and Chloe Partridge. The film was noted in several competitions such as Rochester LGBT Film Festival. Beyound Love

Beyound Love is an italian drama written and directed by Silvio Nacucchi. Anna and Marina are an happy lesbian couple who is about to make a very important decision for their future. They have been living together for a decade and both of them feel ready to have a child now. 

Marina will have the idea to talk about her maternity desire to Stefano, a gay friend she knows from childhood and who is living whith his partner in Rome. Four friends with conflicting aspirations will then gather together and try to find a unique solution to their problems. Anna and Marina are portrayed by Simona Molinari and Jessica Resteghini.
